Borabu MP Ben Momanyi on Saturday said the differences should not be mistaken as fallout, adding that the Wiper party will go for presidency.

Recently, former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama threatened to take over from Kalonzo Musyoka as the kingpin of Ukambani region.

Speaking at his Borabu backyard, Momanyi urged Nyamira residents to rally behind Mr Musyoka and the entire leadership.

"There is no fallout. As a Wiper leader, I can assure you our party leader and Muthama are in good terms. It's just airing democratic views," he said.

"We need to popularise our party here at home so that when Kalonzo wins presidency, we shall get something as Abagusii community," he added.

Mr Momanyi, a second term MP, is likely to be the party's gubernatorial candidate in Nyamira given that he has announced intentions to succeed Governor John Nyagarama.

Also, the wiper MP is among the senior most leaders from the region given that he sits in Parliamentary Service Commission.

Besides bagging an MP seat in Nyamira, Wiper also secured one MCA slot. This was after Kalonzo campaigned in the region during the 2017 polls.
