Kisii county governor James Ongwae has promised that his county government will install 60 markets with solar security lights across the county to make the county a 24 hours economy.

According to Ongwae, already 52 markets in Kisii County have been installed with such solar lights hoping to complete the others soon.

Speaking in Kisii town Ongwae said he is eying to make his county a 24 hours economy so that traders can do their business during the day and night to promote the economy.

He also promised to rehabilitate 300-400 kilometers of roads more so those in poor condition.

“My government will rehabilitate those roads that are in poor condition to improve the transport sector in the county,” said Ongwae.

“My government will make sure it is working under the pledges to move our county forward in development and I need the support by cooperating with my government to achieve our goals,” added Ongwae.
