Over 10,000 Jubilee supporters from the North Rift region are among thousands of Kenyans who will witnesses President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto takes oath of office for their second term at the Kasarani stadium.
The supporters were transported to Nairobi on Monday courtesy of Jubilee politicians in the region considered a Jubilee stronghold.
Speaking when he flagged off buses transporting the supporters in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago said at least 2,000 supporters in the county will be in Kasarani.
"We couldn't take everybody to Nairobi but we ensured about 100 people from each ward are part of this convoy," Mandago said.
"Being a Jubilee stronghold we thought it good that we have some of our supporters witness live events even as other will be following on television," he added.
About 250 buses will be transporting the Jubilee supporters from Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo counties.
