Nairobi County First Lady Primrose Mbuvi held a party for the Makadara Rehabilitation Centre after the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results were announced.
In a post on Instagram Tuesday morning, Sonko hailed their students for their great performance.
''Nairobi City First Lady @primrose_mbuvi joined students and teachers from Makadara Rehabilitation Center to celebrate great performance by a candidate in the school in the KCPE exams. Simon Kirungo Gituku has scored 410 marks to make it among top ten students nationally. Congratulations to all other candidates for their exemplary performance,'' wrote Sonko.
Makadara Rehabilitation Centre hosts students battling different addictions ranging from drugs to alcohol.
On Monday, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha released the 2019 KCPE examinations results.
The event that took place at the Kenya National Examinations Council headquarters in Nairobi, the CS also revealed that the Form One selection will begin Tuesday.
“Form One selection to start tomorrow so that parents can have time to prepare. By December 2, all pupils will have known which school they are going to,” said Education CS Magoha.
No cases of cheating were witnessed during this year's KCPE exams.
