The motorbikes worth Sh2 million were given to the youth at Rabuor Trading Center in Kwabwai, in a set up that saw each of the 20 youth groups receive a single motorbike.

Ndeto said that the project is aimed at curbing unemployment, with the group expected to bank the income made by their motorbikes and establishing other income-generating projects.

"Unemployment is a serious problem affecting the youth in this constituency. Our objective is to provide alternatives to enable our youths to earn a living,” he said.

The former lawmaker added that his efforts to empower his former constituents will not end with the group, but he will be coming up with more projects for the remaining residents.

“We have started in a small way, but will expand our support to reduce numerous problems facing Ndhiwa residents,” he added.

The exercise was also attended by area ward representative Richard Ongindo, Oscar Abote (South Kabwoch), Director of Presidential Delivery Unit Silvance Osele and former County Public Service Board member Florence Ouma.

Osele, also the former Kabondo Kasipul lawmaker said that its hard for the government to support individuals, urging locals to consider forming groups to secure government support.
