Addressing the attendees of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) forum in Gusii Stadium on January 10, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho warned Deputy President William Ruto for criticising the report.
His words were directed to Ruto allies whose aim is to interfere with its implementation and BBI taskforce chosen by President Uhuru and Raila Odinga.
"There are people ranting a lot. There is one particular person ranting a lot. I hear today he has said they don't understand why we visit Kenyans to discuss the BBI yet they are not opposing it," Joho stated.
Joho alleged that DP Ruto and his allies are out to disconcert the report whose aim is to promote inclusiveness.
He further challenged the DP to come out and declare an unshakable stand on BBI report. He assured that those who have embraced the BBI are ready to face off the anti-BBI group led by the DP.
"My message to them, don't murmur, come forth as a man. Don't talk one thing in the morning and differ in the evening," Joho challenged.
"If it's banter, we are conversant, if it's the ability, we have it, if it's confrontations we know how to, but let us be truthful," he added.
Joho dismissed DP Ruto's allegations that BBI forum is a waste of public resources.
