Kikuyu gospel musician Paul Waiganjo is undoubtedly is one of the most celebrated gospel artistes in Central Kenya.
In an exclusive interview with Jeff Kuria, a radio host at Inooro FM, Waiganjo disclosed his struggles in the music industry.
"I was born in a poor background though God's grace has been sufficient to me all through," Waiganjo states.
Waiganjo was born in Ngorika Village, Nyandarua County. He is a last born in a family of nine. He later joined Nyandarua High School for his secondary education. Unluckily he was expelled while in Form Three over his involvement in a strike.
He noted that his love for sports led to his sponsorship at Benhouse School in Nakuru where he got a second chance before joining Egerton University where he pursued a diploma in Computer Engineering.
In 2010, Waiganjo met the love of his life and the two were blessed with three children.
He jokingly narrates that his life has not been a walk in the park to point he threatened to kick his wife and kids out of the house to lower the burden.
Away from music, Waiganjo runs a property company along Thika Road that deals with selling of real properties.
The 'Wì Ngaì Mahìnda Mothe' hitmaker has had a tough journey this year after his last born son suffered kidney complications.
He affirms that he is not in the music industry to make money but spread the gospel.
