Renowned city lawyer Steve Ogolla has hit out at Interior and Coordination of National Government Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
In a tweet on Sunday, Ogolla said that it was unfair for the PS to attack Deputy President Dr William Ruto the way he did in Kirinyaga.
According to Ogolla, Kibicho owes being in government partly to the DP.
"IT'S UNFAIR to have PS Karanja Kibicho attack DP Ruto. If PS Karanja wants to descend into the arena of politics, let him resign. Ruto may have fallen out with Uhuru, but he's partly responsible for Jubilee's election &10 year grip on power, to whom PS Karanja is a beneficiary," the lawyer's tweet read.
Kibicho tore into DP Ruto last week in Kirinyaga and asked residents to reject his politics.
The PS has long been a target of the allies of the DP who have accused him of abusing his power.
They also accused him of being behind the La Mada meeting that was alleged to have been called with the aim of plotting the assassination of the DP.
He rubbished those accusations, calling them a non-issue.
