All roads across Kiambu county will be constructed and repaired by the end of this financial year, Governor William Kabogo has said.
Speaking at his Thika office yesterday, the governor said that the county is closely working with the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (Kura) to ensure all roads are in good state.
Kabogo said that improving road networks will open the county to investors. The governor said that roads are the platform for other development activities.
“We are working with Kura and other agencies to make sure that all roads are in good condition,” said Kabogo.
Governor Kabogo said the county has channeled adequate funds to the roads department.
He asked the county roads executive to make sure that all roads earmarked for repair are done immediately.
Kabogo said that his government has outlined various policies that will be used to promote development.
He said that Kiambu people have the right to access and demand for services which he promised that the government would provide.
At the same time Kabogo asked leaders to work with him saying that he will accommodate them.
