Police in Rongai Station are holding middle -aged man, over allegations of killing his wife.
Micheal Kipytor, 42 is helping the police in investigations, over the allegations of his wife's death, Viola Chepkemei, 35, on Tuesday in Soin Ward, Rongai sub-county.
Confirming the incident on Thursday, Rongai OCPD Joseph Mwamburi said the killing was reported by the suspect's brother, Samuel Kiptanui.
“We received the report from the suspect's brother and our officers launched a man hunt and arrested him,” said Mwamburi.
Mwamburi further added that the deceased sustained serious head injuries, and succumbed to death due to internal injuries.
He also said that the couple had been involved in several domestic quarrels, a matter they are still investigating.
“We have information from relatives that the duo ware involved in a series of conflicts,” added Mwamburi.
The officer also urged couples who have disagreements to seek advice from elders or the government, saying it was wrong to take the law into own hands.
The police from Rongai Police Station collected the body from Sambai village in Athinai Location, and took it to Nakuru Municipal Mortuary.
