Chief Administrative Officer Rachael Shebesh has urged the residents of Garissa County to reject politics that is against the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and veteran opposition and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
Addressing the residents on Saturday, the former Nairobi Woman Rep rattled off a list of benefits that had accrued from the handshake.
She said that those opposed to the newfound friendship between the president and the ODM supremo were up to no good.
"I urge you to reject that kind of politics (Nawaomba na nawaomba msiingie hiyo siasa), " she said.
The outspoken former legislator vowed to continue traversing the country in a bid to spread and champion the values that the Embrace Team subscribe to.
She told the residents that they stood to gain more in supporting the shared agenda of President Uhuru and Raila.
The Embrace Team descended on the Garissa County on Saturday and were given a great reception by the locals.
Shebesh appears to have fallen out with the deputy president Dr William Ruto and has openly vouched for the handshake, triggering the vicious criticism from DP Ruto's allies, who have accused her of politicking.
