The area MCA Samuel Ng'ang'a thanked the primary schools that did well saying that it was a good signal of great things going forward.

“A school like Igamba had a mean standard score of 275. Being a public school, that is something that calls for appreciation. Many others did well too,” said Ng'ang'a.

However, the MCA expressed his disappointment by the ongoing teachers' strike saying it has come at a very unlikely time when the schools there had started to show some signs of improvement.

“I am pleading with the government and teachers to agree to talk to each other and resolve the problem so that our children can resume school,” he said.

Ng'ang'a further appealed to Kenyans to desist from the strike culture and opt for negotiations.

The MCA was speaking in Gituamba on Friday when he was inspecting a dispensary under construction.
