The recent launch of Mariga cup in Kibera is a waste of time.
The jubilee Member of Parliament aspirant launched the cup to lure the youths in the area to vote for him.
Kibera has been there, why did he think of such an initiative during an election period if his intention is to help the people of Kibera?
It's high time that the people of Kibera think of a leader who will address their issues completely with no favouritism. A leader who lives in Kibera and knows the day to day challenges of the locals. A leader who will address the issues of housing and sewage problems in Kibera. A leader who has chosen himself and the people of Kibera accepted. Not a leader who has been appointed by someone else in the government.
A person with leadership skills is needed to unite and call investors to develop Kibera.
New schools should be built to de-congest the current schools and youths should be empowered by providing youth funds and providing job opportunities for them. This will reduce the crime rate and boost the economy of Kenya as a whole.
Leaders should be elected after the people of Kibera have read and understood their manifesto. The leaders should promise to accomplish what is in their manifesto. The leader should also make Kibera a crime-free constituency.
No leader should buy votes by bribing the voters. Let the Kibera people decide.
