Tiaty Member of Parliament William Kamket has taunted politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto over their 'crying' habits.
Reacting to a viral video where Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was recorded screaming during his arrest on Friday, Kamket ridiculed him saying he 'cried' because of being handcuffed.
The vocal KANU legislator revisited the recent incident in Kitui County when Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba got injured on his shoulder while playing soccer and scolded him for 'crying', which he said is unheard of among men from the Kalenjin community.
In a tweet on Friday night, he also recalled a church function when Ruto uncontrollably wept after Jubilee Party won the 2013 general election.
"Sonko cried... coz of handcuffs..Huh. Murkomen cried coz of a shoulder injury... damn (A Kalenjin man cannot/must not cry). Ruto cried after winning election... Jehova!! What did he see? Kweli TangaTanga are crybabies," the MP tweeted.
Sonko was arrested in Voi after Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji gave a green light to charge him over alleged misappropriation of funds in Nairobi County.
The flamboyant Governor will spend the weekend in police custody after his lawyers' request for anticipatory bail was declined by a Nairobi court.
