Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has appealed to Kisii residents especially married couples to stop killing each other.
Ongwae while condemning the brutal murder of a woman who was allegedly killed by her husband in Nyamariba village in Marani, Kisii County, regretted that cases unnecessary killings in the county are on the rise.
"It is sad that couples are killing each other because of domestic disputes which can be solved by local leaders. I urge Kisii residents more so those in marriages to stop killing each other. People should learn to tolerate each other and live in peace, unity and harmony," he stated.
Ongwae appealed to police officers to fast track investigation to ensure the family of the murdered woman; Jesca Moraa, whose body was discovered in a pit latrine on Wednesday gets justice.
"I urge police officers to ensure the killer of Moraa is brought to book and serve as an example to the rest who may have intentions to kill. Now that the commander is here I am sure justice will be done to the family of the deceased. I urge residents to find peaceful ways to solve differences when they arise," he added.
