Controversial singer Willy Paul insists that he is still a gospel artist despite recent works that he has done with secular musicians.
Willy Paul alias Pozee hit the limelight with 'Sitolia' featuring Gloria Muliro that was well received and has continued to release more songs over the years with many now saying he has lost the way.
In an interview with Willis Raburu at Citizen's 10/10 show on Friday night, the 'Njiwa' hitmaker said what God has put in him was more than talent.
“Who says I quit gospel for secular? What God has put in me is beyond talent. I am a creative artist, one day I could wake up and record a love song, the other a worship song. At the end of the day the same God who blesses Wizkid and Davido (secular artistes) is the same who blesses gospel artistes,” Willy Paul noted.
Willy who has been the talk of the town with many controversies behind him each and every day, has grown in the music industry, releasing collaborations with the likes of Alaine, Nandy, Rayvanny, Khaligraph Jones and many more.
Despite all the trolls and allegations that he has faced, Pozee insisted that he still remains to be a gospel musician and denied quitting gospel music.
He also recently on hitting the studios to record songs with Ommy Dimpoz and Ali Kiba.
According to Willy Paul, 2019 will be a year of collaborations and many surprises.
