Ukambani governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu of Kitui have eulogised the late Bomet Governor as a great woman.

In separate messages, the leaders said that Laboso championed for the rights of all people. 

They also said that she will be remembered for her commitment and hard work in different officers she served while still alive. Laboso died on Monday after a long battle with cancer.

He body has since been transferred to the Lee Funeral Home pending burial arrangements. Here are messages from the governors after Laboso’s demise.

“It is with deep sense of shock and sadness that I have learnt of the death of H.E. Dr. Joyce Laboso. On my own behalf, and that of people of Makueni County, I convey our heartfelt condolences to her husband and children, relatives, friends and the people of Bomet County and Kenya,” Kibwana tweeted.

This deadly disease continues to rob us of more Kenyans and it's disheartening to see headlines and notices in newspapers of citizens dying of cancer. 

My sincere condolences, from my family & the people of Machakos County, to her family, friends and the great people of Bomet,” Mutua tweeted.
