This follows the story of a young lady who was allegedly sold to a man by her own mother for Sh5,000.

The 24-year-old Jacinta Wanjiku is said to have been sold to a man when she was only 14 years after she had just completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).

In a YouTube video on Standard Digital's channel, Wanjiku narrates how a man who bought her as a wife raped her a number of times before she eventually ran away from the forced marriage.

"He confessed everything the following day, how he gave my mother Sh5,000 and the whole plan. I called my mother the same day in the evening but she provoked me, she said I was her child and had the right to do anything she wanted," said Wanjiku.

While reacting to the heartbreaking story, Miguna criticized the Women Reps for focusing on politics at the expense of advocating for women's rights in society.

He also faulted Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang'i for not arresting the alleged criminals.

"Women Reps are dancing ndombolo ya Kiuno for Uhuru Kenyatta and @RailaOdinga instead of advocating and fighting for vulnerable and abused girls like this one. @FredMatiangi and Kibicho are busy planning how to "stop" Ruto instead of arresting criminals," Miguna tweeted.

Wanjiku who has since moved on with her life after escaping from the 'rapist's home asked her mother to change and become loving and caring again.
