Sonko had been invited to attend the fundraiser which was being presided by governor Lonyangapuo but could not make to attend the function in person.

He instead sent Devolution and Public Service Management County Executive Vesca Kangogo to deliver his donation of Sh100, 000.

“The guest has arrived. Sonko himself my brother could not make to come but he has sent someone who is capable. So the guest has come from couny 047. (Mgeni amefika, Sonko mwenyewe ndugu yangu hajakuja lakini ametuma mtu ambaye ataweza. Sasa mgeni ametoka katika county 047),” Lonyangapuo stated during the function.

The County Executive on her part praised her boss, Governor Sonko for impacting on lives of Kenyans.

“Our governor is not a person of jokes, when I am in front of him I cannot speak the way I am speaking to you. I am talking like this because I know I have been given the status to come and represent him. (Huyo governor wetu si mchezo, ata mimi nikiwa mbele yake siwezi ongea venye naongea na nyinyi. Mimi naongea saa hii ju najua nimepewa cheo kidogo ya kukuja kumwakilisha). But that man is being used by God to do great things in Nairobi and the whole nation,” Kangongo stated.

Sonko is known for making huge donations. Last week he donated Sh100, 000 to youths in Kiambu County.
