According to Economic Freedom Party ( EFP) chairman Isack Abbey, the Governor who was elected on an EFP party ticket is allegedly opposed to the BBI which is spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.

" We call upon Mandera Governor to stop misleading his political sponsors that he will be able to scuttle BBI process in Mandera County," said Abbey as quoted by the Standard.

Governor Roba is a perceived ally of the Deputy President William Ruto.

EFP party supported the re-election of President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

Abbey said that the lucklustre approach by a section of Mandera leaders to BBI is worrying even as he declared that the region will not accept being left behind in championing for an inclusive country.

Over the last few weeks, Dr Ruto has come under sharp criticisms for allegedly being against BBI which pro- Raila and Uhuru political faction daring him to resign.

Ruto has, however, on several occasions said that he supports BBI only that he is against the process being followed.
