A member of Building Bridges Initiative has leaked a few details about the impending report which will be handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
The BBI team was formed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr Odinga last year following a political truce by the two protagonists.
Last week, the team completed her tenure following one year of fact finding across the country. The report roll be submitted to Uhuru this week.
On Monday, Mzee James Matundura, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, revealed a number of details within the report.
Matundura said: "I had fears when we started our sittings. It was an honour to seat in the presidential advisory team on behalf of Abagusii community."
"The good thing is, we did not recommend to downsize our counties. Nyamira will remain intact. We had around 27 counties which are too small. Removing them would be catastrophic."
On constituencies, Mzee Matundura also said the team did not recommend for removal of some which do not have threshold due to small numbers.
He said: "Politicians who fear that their areas will be merged should drop those fears. The constituencies will remain intact as before."
There were fears that some of the counties and constituencies would be trimmed due to ballooning wage bill. The move raised rebellion from a section of politicians.
However, Matundura hinted introduction of third-tier goverment, which will pool resources in certain regions for mega development projects.
