Formed after the President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga's truce in March last year, the team last month concluded its cross-county trips in search of views that could help the nation avoid recurrent political wrangles.

The MP who hails from the ruling Jubilee Party now says that she is happy with how the 14-member team went across the nation in search of answers to Kenya's burning issues.

She noted that the taskforce made it easy for all Kenyans to tender their views, adding that those who didn't appear before it shouldn't, therefore, complain about its proposals once the report writing exercise is over.

"If there is a good thing the BBI did was going round all the counties picking views from Kenyans. If you didn't bring yours then, it is your fault (BBI kama kuna kitu wamenfanya nzuri ni eti wamezunguka kaunti zote na watu wakaleta maoni yao. Kama hukuleta yako ni makosa yako)," she said.

The lawmaker made the remarks on Citizen TV's Jungu Kuu on Wednesday night.

She also called upon Kenyans and politicians to avoid the urge to speculate about the outcome of the entire exercise, at a time when some politicians are already guessing the outcome.

Some Jubilee politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto have predicted that the report will propose a referendum to expand the executive, but the MP wants them to be patient.

"Let's not be hasty, let's allow the BBI to table its report (Tusiruke kwanza, tuache BBI ilete ripoti yake)," she added.

However, Raila and his crew have alerted Kenyans to expect constitutional changes.
