Deputy President William Ruto has yet again slammed his critics, insisting that he was elected to help President Uhuru Kenyatta deliver his agenda.
The DP has been under pressure from a section of politicians allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, who accuse him of premature campaigns.
Further, the politicians accuse him of undermining the president, who was publicly warned them against putting the country in election mood.
But at Dandora on Friday, Dr Ruto insisted that his trips across the country are part of his mandate as the Deputy President, adding that he's keen to monitor implementation of projects.
"This is my work to ensure that all projects of the government are in place, ” he said.
The DP insisted that the government is keen to deliver on water supply, electricity and infrastructure, adding that it's him who Kenyans will ask questions in 2022.
“We are committed to ensuring equitable water supply in all parts of Nairobi as part of our infrastructural development in the country,” said Ruto.
He said after the National Land Commission Board is in place, the title deeds will be given out to the owners.
"Development in Nairobi is a must and the Big Four agenda will oversee the transformation in the city, ” Ruto said
In what was seen as a plot to silence Ruto, President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i as the head of government projects.
