Four male suspects escaped with serious spear injuries on their stomachs and ribs after they attempted to rob a homestead in Mbilini sub-location, Kangundo sub-county.
The four invaded the homestead on Sunday night and tried to enter the house by cutting part of the roof.
The occupant of the house, who happened to be owner, pierced the invaders using a spear as they tried to enter the house though the roof. The suspects escaped with major injuries on the stomach and ribs after the owner of the house overpowered them.
Area assistant chief of Mbilini Mwikya confirmed the incident and said that police are searching for the suspects and was optimistic that they will be arrested soon.
He also urged the clinics and hospitals in the area to immediately report any person with spear injuries seeking medical attention to the police.
He asked the residents to report any suspects to the police and assured the residents that law and order will be maintained as the police will be in patrol during the night.
