A report which was revealed by the salaries and remuneration commission proved that the MCAs from the county were the ones who were earning the highest allowances in all the 47 counties in the country.

People of Eldoret matched to the assembly building demanding to be addressed by the assembly speaker but unfortunately the speaker was not there.

Speaking to the press yesterday afternoon Josephat Lowoi who is the majority leader dismissed the allegations saying that they did not even exceed the Salaries and Remuneration commission ceiling on the allowances.

"I wonder who is spreading such rumours. We have our very own figures which are correct. We are going to make them public because we do not know who or where the people of Eldoret got those incorrect figures about our allowances," Lowoi said.

Ramadhan Ali who is the minority leader said that the people of Eldoret and the general public should desist from rumours and information that does not have facts.

"I kindly request our beloved residents of this county to avoid being given wrong information that do not have facts. The people should come to us so that we can give them information and also figures that is correc," Ali said.

Uasin Gishu County has been listed by Comptroller of Budget as among the 13 counties in this country that should be investigated over the excess earnings by the MCAs.
