Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo has lashed out at Cord leaders accusing them of misinforming the public on important national matters.
Speaking at Ruiru town on Monday, the MP said that Cord is using propaganda and other evil ways to cause conflict between Kenyans and the government.
She alleged that Cord is keen to discredit the government and acquire power through backdoor means.
“It is saddening that Cord and other opposition leaders are keen to cause conflict between the government and the people,” she said.
The MP said that they will not allow the opposition to use inappropriate means to present their issues.
Gathogo said that the opposition has all the time to stop the security amendment bill before it was passed by Parliament.
She added that Cord has not interests of Kenyans and that it has failed on its mandate as the opposition.
The lawmaker asked Cord top leaders to stop their quest for mass actions and use the appropriate channels.
She stated that Kenyans will not be forced to take part in mass actions saying that citizens are tired of mere petty politics.
“I think time has come for Cord’s top leaders to stop inciting the public,” she added.
Gathogo said that the government will remain steadfast to pass and approve laws that will protect all Kenyans.
