Thika town lawmaker Alice Nga’ng’a has called for concerted efforts and collaboration among top security agencies in the country in order to fight crime and terror threats.
Speaking to journalists in Thika town on Monday, Ng’ang’a lamented of the deteriorating security in the country.
She said that there is need for the government to put in place more machinery in order to combat the rising insecurity.
“The country’s top security agencies should work together and help curb terror threats being experienced in some parts of the country,” said Ng’ang’a.
The lawmaker said that it is saddening to see Kenyans being butchered like animals, noting that the killings amount to violation of human rights.
Nga’ng’a observed that the security will be guaranteed if government agencies mandated to ensure safety of Kenyans work together.
The MP at the same time called on leaders to work together and share ideas on how to tame terror criminals.
She said that Kenyans have a right to security and that the continued killing of innocent souls contravenes their rights.
Ng’ang’a further stated that the country’s investments and economy is at risk of collapsing if terror threats are not contained.
She also called for collaboration between the police and the public in fight against crime saying that Kenyans have a role to play on matters security.
“It is important that we all get involved in the war against these criminals, let us work together with the law enforcers,” added Ng’ang’a.
