While condemning the fracas and indecent acts witnessed in Parliament during the debate on security laws on Thursday last week, the MP said that legislators must conduct themselves as per the standing orders of the House.

He said that it is improper for legislators to turn the House into a battle ground saying that action must be taken against lawmakers who engaged in the fracas.

“It was embarrassing to see the House being turned into a battle zone, we as MP s we must style up,” he added.

The lawmaker said that the debate on the security bill could have been conducted in a p roper manner if legislators from both the opposition and government had reasoned together.

Mr Mwangangi said that the picture portrayed in parliament last week has painted negatively on the image of Kenyans law makers.

He asked the relevant authorities to investigate and take action against MPs who misbehaved and embarrassed the country.

However the MP says that the Security laws will help streamline order and reduce instance of attacks that have been experienced in the country for the last two years.

Mr Mwangangi also called for good political will among leaders on matters of interests that affect the whole country.

He added that the opposition must stick to their mandate and do it well for the sake of Kenyans whose views are often not considered on national matters.
