Renowned marathoner Eliud Kipchoge, the current World marathon record holder, is in Vienna, Austria in preparation for the INEOS 1:59 Challenge.

Kipchoge, who left the country on Monday in a private jet, which picked him from the Eldoret International Airport, will be racing against time to beat his 2018 world record of 2:01:39.

Kipchoge, regarded as the greatest marathoner of all time, will be running a distance of 42KM which he must finish in less than two hours.

Kipchoge has been equipped with all the necessary preparation materials he needs for the race. More so, he had been given six experts who will be working with him until the day of the race.

Kipchoge began his preparation in Vienna as he was seen with some of his pacemakers running.

The INEOS Challenge date has not been revealed as organizers are still weighing on the best day that will provide Eliud with favourable weather conditions to run comfortably.

Kenyan have rallied behind Kipchoge urging him to beat the world record.

This comes after Safaricom, the giant telecommunication company in the country changed its M-Pesa logo on Wednesday in respect and support for Eliud Kipchoge.
