The Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Witeithie ward in Juja sub-county Mr peter Ngugi has said that Sh70 million will be utilised to fund various projects in the ward.

He noted that infrastructure, education, health and social projects would be funded by the county government to benefit area residents.

The MCA who was addressing residents in the area on Wednesday said that the water projects in the area will be funded at a cost of Sh3 million.

He also said that Ndarugo- Nyacaba Bridge would be constructed at a cost of Sh5 million and extension of water project to Nyacaba market would be done at a cost of Sh5 million.

Mr Muiruri said that Kimuchu and Nyacaba secondary schools will also be given Sh500,000 each for developments of structures while he will construct a social hall in the area worth Sh1m.

The MCA said that Ndarugo and Kibute dispensaries will each benefit from Sh500,000 while Mung’etho dispensary will get Sh300,000 from the county government.

Witeithie ward has the biggest population and produces the highest amount of revenue to the county government. The MCA called for increase of at least 15 per cent of the revenue collected in the county to be assigned to the ward.
