The upsurge in fake seeds and fertilizers has especially dealt a major blow to small scale farmers who have limited knowledge on how to deduce between fake and original products.

However, a ray of hope is beckoning thanks to a farming inclined organization that seeks to help farmers increase their production.

Farm Shop is an organization that is located in Ruaka of Kiambu County and prides itself in providing farmers with original seeds and other farm input in a bid to foster production.

Samuel Munguti who is the marketing manager for the organization says that the decision to start Farm Shop was informed by farmers in the area who were complaining of dwindling production in their farms.

The marketing executive says that the issue of counterfeit seeds resonates across the country and they now intend to open several farm shops in all the 47 counties.

“Our farmers are now happy because they can achieve their full potential,” quips the happy Munguti.
