The bridge that is still under construction connects two residential areas between Auji stream. Currently, the two places are connected with a wooden bridge.

The county government had started rehabilitating the bridge albeit a bit late according to the residents.

Those interviewed expressed their concern on the current condition of the bridge.

"We were pleased that the government heard our cry and decided to build a bridge. The problem is that the construction started late," said Leah Adhiambo.

She said added, "The concrete cannot dry properly considering that the sun does not shine during the day."

The bridge is not only their worry but the excess water that flows in the stream when it rains.

"Visitors in this area have difficulties in finding their way around because of the water in the potholes," said Albert Asango.

The area is also known for overflowing sewers as the stream channels its waste water to Kameta where it is treated before being discharged into the lake. The residents are now calling on the government to find a quick solution to the problem.

“We are appealing to the government to act quick enough to avoid disasters," said Asango.
