Former Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Kiprop Bundotich alias Buzeki on Wednesday hosted Chama Cha Mashinani party leader Isaac Ruto at his Chego farm home in Ainabkoi constituency.
The agenda of the meeting which comes about two months after Buzeki ditched DP Ruto’s camp to join the rival CCM remains unclear as none of the two politicians made it public.
"CCM Party chairman Isaac Ruto arrives at CCM Secretary General's Chego Farm Residence in Ainabkoi," Bitok posted.
Since his entry to CCM party in May, Buzeki has vowed to help the former Bomet governor to rebrand his party which suffered a humiliating defeat in the 2017 Bomet gubernatorial race.
Ruto lost to the then Jubilee party candidate and immediate former governor the late Joyce Laboso who lost her life earlier this week.
Buzeki, on the other hand, lost his Uasin Gishu gubernatorial bid to the current governor Jackson Mandago and is expected to try his luck in 2022 using his newly found party.
His move to CCM also changed the shape of politics in Uasin Gishu county as the vocal politician was accused by a section of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies of being self-centred.
