Babu Owino had threatened to shave the Kandara Member of Parliament should she continue disrespecting the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

Writing on Twitter on Saturday while sharing a quote of the Embakasi East MP's vile tweet, the KFCB chairman took issue with the language that political leaders employ when attacking each other.

He said that by employing vile language, the leaders were setting a bad example for the youth in the country.

"It's ok for politicians to differ and to exchange barbs for political mileage, but this kind of language from an MP is unacceptable. It's crude and barbaric and must not be accepted in a civilised society. Our leaders are behaving badly and setting a bad example for the youth!" the KFCB boss wrote.

Babu Owino's attack on the Kandara legislator touched off a firestorm on social media platforms, with a section of social media users expressing disgust of the language in which the attack was framed.
