Justice George Odunga had earlier declared the regulations as unlawful, since it was not passed by parliament.

NTSA Road Safety Director Andrew Munyao said that the authority on Tuesday declared the use of digital speed governors.

"We will not be deterred since the legal notice by Kebs was not touched by the Court,” said Andrew.

Speaking to police officers in Nakuru on Wednesday during a NTSA clinic for PSVs and cargo vehicles, Munyao said that NTSA had already appealed against the judgment, which was made by Justice Odunga.

According to Rift Valley Provincial Traffic officer Mary Omari, all vehicles should abide to the law.

"We are going to arrest and charge all the vehicles which we will find not abiding to the traffic rules and law. The police will not allow drivers to continue speeding and causing accidents,” said Omari.
