Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua seems not to stop his dream towards vying for presidency come 2022.
While addressing the media on Thursday at his Machakos office, the governor said that he is the perfect person to represent Kamba community in 2022 presidential race, as he has worked with top leaders, which includes; Former President Mwai Kibaki, President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
"I am ready and steadfast in my quest to Presidency because I have worked closely with both Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta and in a political friendship with Raila Odinga and know I have their support," Mutua said
He also commented on Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's 2022 support towards Uhuru's candidate of preference, terming it to be a form of him resigning his fate and making it clear that he is not capable of securing the vote of Kenyans to be the next president.
"The comments by Hon. Kalonzo, a Leader I hold in high esteem, that he will follow the 2022 political direction given by President Uhuru Kenyatta, can only mean that he has resigned himself to the fate that he is not capable of securing the vote of Kenyans to be the next President.. and can only be a supporter of another person." He added
