Spiders have venoms and other poisonous substance that may cause itchiness, swelling of bitten areas, when in contact with the body.
However, there are various ways to ease pain caused by spider bites.
Dr Josh axe, a doctor of natural medicine highlights the home remedies for spider bite:
1. Ice
Before applying ice to the affected area, clean the wound with water and soap. After cleaning, place the ice pack on your skin.
The cold temperature will edge off the itching sensation and reduce the swelling. Let the ice stay on your affected body part for at least 10 minutes.
2. Baking soda
Baking soda is highly alkaline, and will help subsidise the itchiness in a short time.
Do not apply the baking soda directly, you should add 3 teaspoons of water and mix. Rub the mixture on the infected part with cotton for more than 5 minutes.
3. Salt
Salt has anti-inflammatory properties and can actually be used as a regimen. First, wash the ailing area with water, wet a piece of cloth, pour a little salt, then wrap this cloth on the area for two hours and take it off.
If the above mentioned remedies fail to work, consider seeking medical attention as soon as possible.
