Matatu operators at DC Market have appealed to Kibra MP Ken Okoth to help renovate a bus terminus in the area.
Speaking to this writer at DC market on Friday, the crews who ply the Kibera-Kawangware route complained of the poor state of the parking bay.
They said the parking area can accommodate more than 30 vehicles but due to its condition, it can only allow a few matatus.
Kamau wa Kimani, a driver of Dakika Mo Sacco said the place is always muddy when it rains and thus they cannot park their matatus there.
“This place is pathetic when it rains. Theere is even the problem of stagnant water. Many matatus get stuck in the mud when parking there,” said Kimani.
“In Nairobi, people want to look smart. No person wants to board a dirty vehicle; we are appealing to the authorities to construct this bus stop so that the place remains clean in all times,” he concluded.
