Netto Adhola Foundation has set aside Sh1 million for the needy students in Rarieda constituency to cater for their school fees.

Speaking during the bursary committee meeting on Monday, the project founder Augustine Adhola stated that they took such a move after realising that there are many bright and needy students who experience financial challenges to continue with their Secondary education.

Adhola said that this money will be a relief to vulnerable students whose parents could not able to pay school fees to allow them continue with their learning, saying that the cheque of the beneficiaries will be channeled to school bank accounts in January next year.

He disclosed the one million shillings will supplement the county government and CDF bursary funds so that more needy students are capture to enable them acquire basic education.

“The fund is specifically for needy students who need financial assistance to continue with their learning and join secondary school,” said Adhola.

Adhola said that this committee will be working in consultation with other bursary committees like CDF, Ministry of Education and County government to avoid duplications of funding.

He called upon this committee to ensure that deserved students are supported without any form of discrimination, adding that the local provincial administrators and school principals will be included to assist in identifying the most deserving students come January next year.

Adhola on that note appealed to school administrations and parents whose children will benefit from this kitty to ensure that they provide them with conducive learning environment to enable them achieve good grades.
