Kiambu youths have been urged to register as voters and also attend forums being conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in the county.
Speaking at Kiambu town on Saturday, County National Alliance (TNA) party coordinator Gladys Chania also urged youths to get the Identification Cards (Ids) to register as voters.
She noted that voter registration sensitisation forums are being conducted across the county and that it will be suitable for youths who have reached 18 years to attend.
“I want to encourage Kiambu youths to spare their time and attend some of the election and voter registration forums being conducted by IEBC,” she said.
The TNA coordinator said that it is a constitutional right for every citizen to register as voter.
She added that massive campaigns would be carried out in the county to sensitised youths on the need of getting Ids and registering as electors.
The Kiambu TNA coordinator observed that many youths who have attained the required age for IDs are not applying for them.
On the same note, the TNA coordinator has cautioned members who contravene the party regulations.
She said, “Members who go against party rules will have their membership revoked. Several members are being investigated over their allegiance.”
