Speaking during the Trade Fair on Saturday, Nderitu expressed his concern of unemployed youth who wait for the government to come to the rescue.

He said that poultry farming is a headgear for the unemployed youth terming it as easy and fast making business.

The chairman said that Thika town has so many restaurants that are in dire need of chicken and if the youth could venture into the business they will earn easy money.

Nderitu challenged the youth that they should apply for Biashara funds and reorganise into groups and start the business and if need be they should consult him for business ideas.

“Apply for the Biashara funds and come to me for the tip-off on how to make money out of poultry, but sadly I have never seen anyone consulting me about any kind of business,” Nderitu challenged the youth.

He further called on youth to create employment and avoid indulging into drugs and substance abuse, which are alarming in Thika.

He said that youth involve in crime due to idle mind, which will hinder in attaining vision 2030 as Kenyan being an industrialized nation.

“Vision 2030 cannot be achieved if our youth will not create employment for them and thus try to venture in poultry farming which will boost our economy and living standard,” expressed Nderitu.
