Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi on Thursday made a plea to State House intruder Brian Bera as he released him from police custody  on a Sh100,000 bond.

The magistrate called on the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student to take medication and for him to accept he has has a condition that needs treatment

"Brian make sure you continue taking medication, okay?....I told you yesterday, healing starts with you accepting that you have a certain condition that needs to be treated. Are you getting me?" Chief Magistrate Andayi told Bera.

Brian Bera's father had requested the court to allow him take his son to a mental facility so that he can receive the treatment he needs.

The JKUAT Engineering student suffered a gunshot wound as he tried to scale the walls of State House.

His father swore before the court that he would ensure that that his son is not caught up in any problems.

Magistrate Andayi insisted that he would have no choice but to have Bera detained if he exhibited behaviours that showed that he was not firmly in control of his faculties.
