Leader of the majority in the national assembly Aden Duale on Saturday attended the launching of Arabic in Kenya function which took place in Nairobi.
In a tweet, Aden Duale said that Kenya in Arabic is information that tends to promote Kenya in the Arab and Muslim world.
Through its launching, Member of Parliament for Garissa Township believed that having such kind of information in the country will attract more tourist in the country.
"Kenya in Arabic, is news & information site that seeks to promote Kenya in the Arab, and Muslim world in areas of tourism, cultural exchange programmed, investment, education, health, people to people communication & be a one-stop site for Arabic speaking people to know Kenya," Duale said.
Duale also said that, through technology, it will be easier to get information about Kenya on social, economic, investment and tourism sectors.
"Because of technology, it is easier to find information about Kenya social, economic, investment and tourism sectors but there is not enough information on Kenya in Arabic, Kenya in Arabic will bridge that gap," he said.
Other leaders that attended the function were Qatar ambassador to Kenya, Jabor Bin Al-Dosari, Yemeni Head of Mission to Kenya Abdul Salam A. Alawadhi, the Head of Islamic Affairs Unit at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Ryan Abdul Karim Fatta, Al Fadhil Hamid Omar, rep. from the Sudan embassy & Arabic scholars.
