The pupils are reportedly said to have been in class at around 6:45 am when the wall came tumbling down.

Following the incident, a section of Kenyans online have demanded for action to be taken against the contractors of the building and the school management.

Kenyans online said that the official reporting time for pupils is supposed to be at 8:00 am, therefore, the pupils were not supposed to be in school that early.

The contractors of the building have, on the other hand, been accused of endangering the lives of the pupils by constructing a substandard classroom. They argued that action should be taken to serve as an example.

The Kenyans on Twitter largely expressed their condolence and grief towards the bereaved families citing that it was not easy to lose a child in such circumstances.

The government while addressing the accident cited that it will cater to the medical expenses of the students who were injured.

Nonetheless, there are those who have reservations saying the government should provide more rescue tools to the disaster management teams on the ground.
