Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has claimed that there is no doubt that the country is having two parallel Building Bridges Initiative factions.
The country of late has been subjected to heated political debates, with two camps now appearing to emerge with regard to BBI campaigns.
According to the veteran lawyer, there is a BBI team under the Orange Democratic Movement party and another one under the Jubilee party.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is keen to succeed in pushing for BBI, which he has earmarked as part of his legacy.
"We NOW have TWO BBI...odm BBI versus JUBILEE BBI. I support the latter...as most of my friends do... Few of my friends like @TonyGachoka , @makaumutua and @DonaldBKipkorir support the ODM BBI...ni sawa," Mr Abdullahi said.
The camp allied to Deputy President William Ruto has threatened to push for parallel campaigns to push for certain agenda.
But lawyer Donald Kipkorir was quick to dismiss Ahmednasir's assertions, insisting that there is only one BBI team.
"AA, don’t peddle fake news ... There is only ONE BBI by the President & Baba .... Any other BBI must be a fake one by renegade Jubilee TangaTanga wing which has 153 MPs only out of 416 and not a single Governor," he said.
