Embattled Nyamira Majority Leader Duke Masira has accused a section of NASA MCAs of plotting his ouster during a trip to DP William Ruto's Sugoi home.
At least 20 MCAs allied to the opposition visited Dr Ruto's home in Sugoi on December 16th last year, although most of them did it secretly.
The team feared being reprimanded by the opposition team for associating themselves with Dr Ruto.
And on Sunday, Mr Masira, whose fate now lies with the ODM party, told reporters that he was a victim of DP William Ruto's "toxic" politics.
"I want to assure you that my removal was sealed at Sugoi when they visited DP William Ruto. I had opposed the meeting but they didn't like it," he said.
"They first met in Karen before going to Sugoi. I know their schemes but they will lose the battle," he said.
At least 13 NASA allied MCAs signed the ouster bid, garnering the majority of the required numbers according to the standing orders.
The MCAs accused Masira of gross misconduct and corruption, arguing that "he has been sealing deals behind our back".
"We have received the minutes of the purported ouster, we are still in recess, " ODM Attorney Tony Moturi told reporters on Saturday.
Even more puzzling, the ouster letter was signed by Majority Deputy Whip Lilian Nyamweya, causing rebellion from her boss Alfayo Ngeresa, who has since disowned the changes.
