The Kiambu county National Party Alliance (TNA) coordinator Gladys Chania wants the county government and the National Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA) to revive the war against the brewing and selling of illicit liquor in the county.

Speaking from her office on Tuesday, the Kiambu TNA coordinator said that some people in the area had began selling illegal alcoholic drinks again.

“It is unfortunate that months after the crackdown on illicit brews and alcoholic drinks, some people and cartels have gone back to the illegal businesses,” she said.

She further said that the war against illicit brews will be successful if there is collaborative efforts from all stakeholders.

Chania additionally cautioned the youth against falling back to alcoholism saying that they need to focus on developing themselves.
