The five include Stephen Mule (Matungulu), Francis Mwangangi (Yatta), Robert Mbui (Kathiani), Kyengo Katatha (Kangundo) and Machakos Women Representative Susan Musyoka.

Speaking during bursary allocation meeting at Kinyui boys the five condemned war of words among a section of leaders in the county.

Machakos Woman Representative, Susan Musyoka, said that their presence during the event demonstrated unity that would ensure all the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) follow the right procedure when serving the public.

“As Machakos leaders we are united and we are calling upon the rest of the leaders to unite while performing their duties so that we can effectively serve our people,” said Musyoka.

Matungulu MP, Stephen Mule, said that when leaders respect one another it is easy for them to work together.

“Kenya Constitution is very clear on leaders roles. Each leader is aware of his duties but they should work together in respect. This will help to improve social, economical and political life of the residents," said Mule.

Yatta counterpart insisted on unity as an important virtue in all institutions for peaceful and successful service to the public.

“As leaders we should put our political differences aside when it comes to service delivery,” said Mwangangi.

The five pledged to work together to stir development in the county. They later released Sh6 million to needy children in Matungulu Constituency.
