Hospital Ward MCA Mwangi Wa Mwangi has called on parents to support their children at their tender age to discover their future careers saying it is a boost in their studies.
Wa Mwangi, who was speaking in Gatumaini Primary School when he disbursed water tanks to the school, said that nowadays children are learning just to finish their school without any career objective in their minds hence end up wasting their time.
He claimed that parents have made education a game as they take their children to school when they are very young to abscond responsibility, thus making such kids to finish their secondary education while still very young hence taking a lot of time before they are enrolled in the tertiary level institutions.
Wa Mwangi has called on the parents not to choose careers for their children as they end up being demoralised, a situation he says make those children not to get anything in class making education a waste of time despite learning for almost half of their lives.
“If parents choose a course for their children, it means that they will not be in a position to achieve what they want since they will be learning to please their parents. Let us help them discover their career objectives when they are young to help them grow morally upright,” said Wamwangi.
He urged the children to do their best and achieve their goals saying that in today’s world there is no success without education.
