Addressing the press at Nakuru town over the weekend, the senator blamed land injustices for conflict that is being experienced among some communities in Naivasha, Molo and Njoro.

The senator said that addressing such past conflicts will enable residents to embrace unity and avert disagreements and violence.

“The government must work towards addressing land injustices in Nakuru, some of which date back to the colonial period,” he said.

Mungai further called on the Ministry of Lands and the National Lands Commission to issue title deeds to genuine owners of land in the county.

He said that some genuine land owners have no title deeds a situation that he said is being used by greed and prominent people to grab land from genuine owners.

Meanwhile, the senator has urged the county government to put in place strategies that will guarantee safety of residents.

He said that security is paramount and that the government in partnership with security agencies must work and secure Kenyans.
